The Arkwright jacket is our nod to Britain’s historic cotton manufacturing industry in rural Derbyshire, and is named after the inventor, and “father of the modern industrial factory system”, Richard Arkwright. The grey cloth seen here is a chambray open weave with a Cabernet stripe, which has been exclusively woven for Cathcart. A vista of colours and textures upon close inspection, the weave blends into mild grey tones and the texture softens when observed from afar. The cloth is 15oz in weight and, much like the Vaugan stripe cloth, it is satisfyingly heavy and perfect for everyday wear. The jacket features a twin box pleated belt back and four twin pleated button flap pockets.
