This is a vintage British sports jacket, in a distinctive medium-weight wool check, that was made by the British made-to-measure company ‘Hector Powe’. The company was established in 1908, opened its first shop in the City of London in 1910, became a large supplier of tailored uniforms to RAF officers during World War Two, had a number of branches across London and was later bought out by Burberrys, before re-emerging in 2018 under the ownership of a descendent of the company’s founder. This jacket, which is not dated but likely dates from the 1960s, is a great example of classic British tailoring.

Size: Jacket size approx. 41 – Chest (measured pit to pit) = 22 inches/Shoulders = 18 inches/Sleeve = 25.5 inches/Length = 30.5 inches.

Condition: Very Good (although it has feint marks on the left shoulder & left breast which should be removable – see photos).

Condition of Cathcart samples are unworn unless stated otherwise above. For vintage items please read product description.
