Here are three vintage British ties from the 1930s to 1950s. This selection of ties is designed to give the buyer a selection of colours and styles. The two wool ties date from the 1930s, the plain one was made by ‘Melite’. The black tie is by ‘Cecil Gee’, a British menswear outfitters that grew in popularity in the post-war period. The shop, which had originally imported European clothing, became popular for selling American style fashion, with the shop being decorated with photos of jazz musicians. This tie is a rare surviving example of the ‘bold look’ garments that ‘Cecil Gee’ sold during the 1940s/1950s.

Condition: Good/Fair (the black tie has some marking on the blade which is visible when looked at closely).
