Made from the ever-popular Harris Tweed cloth, here’s a classic British hacking jacket in a distinctively subtle checked weave of black, blue, green and yellow wools. The hacking jacket is one of the most distinctive of classic British jackets and, with its nipped-waist and flared skirt, it is also one of the most flattering. The style was originally made for horse riding but became popular for casual wear from the 1930s onwards when the equestrian look was adopted by British men of all classes. This jacket dates from the late 1950s/early 1960s and was made-to-measure by the British menswear outfitters ‘John Collier’. It has the high button-stance, leather football buttons and double rear-vents that are distinctive features of the hacking jacket style.

Size: Jacket marked size 44 – Chest (measured pit to pit) = 23.5 inches/Waist (measured at middle-button) = 22.5 inches/Shoulders = 19 inches/Sleeve = 26 inches/Length = 30 inches.
