Here are three vintage British cravats from the 1930s to 1950s. This selection of ties is designed to give the buyer a selection of colours and styles. The cravat was a popular item of neckwear among British men during the mid-20th Century as it allowed for comfort when wearing casual outfits yet still provided a splash of colour. The red horse-head cravat has an open neck band which usually denotes coming from the earlier part of the period. It is made from a rayon fabric similar to that used by Tootal for their cravats. The yellow cravat is probably made from cotton and dates from the 1950s. The blue cravat was made by the brand ‘Favourite’ and dates from the 1950s.
